For the last 25 years, Montauk’s cherished Rell Sunn Community Surf Benefit has brought together surfers, artists, families, and neighbors to raise funds for local residents facing hardship.

In 2024, a new chapter began. Shred The Love Montauk was founded to carry the torch forward. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to always hosting the Rell Sunn Community Surf benefit AND to expanding our reach and resources to better serve our community. We will be supporting events of all kinds going forward, in order to raise funds for our community members with immediate needs.

We’re committed to honoring Rell Sunn’s spirit of aloha by showing up for each other—with love, empathy, and action—one wave, one neighbor at a time.
